                                                Cách viết Article thi FCE
(How to write an article for FCE)

Bài viết dưới đây viết về cách viết một Article, một phần thi viết trong FCE. Cấu trúc một bài article FCE bao gồm những phần sau:

  • Open: Give a title
You should open your writing article by giving it a title to let readers know what you are going to write about.
Example:  THREE WAYS TO SAVE ENERGY AROUND THE HOUSE
  • Introduction: you may want to introduce the subject by restating the question
There are some ways in which you may begin your article:

     + a question:
         Example:
Have you ever thought about improving your skills for FCE? I bet you do. But you think it is impossible for you to find a reliable web site to find out information and learn from to make your skills far better. Here you are wrong. All you need to do is just go to ilearnisharei.blogspot.com......

    +  a quotation or saying:
        Example
There is a saying that goes "preparation is the key to success". I, personally believe that is true. So in order to pass the FCE exam, we may need to think of a way to prepare well....
  • Body: the body itself may contain one or two paragraphs. You should use clear paragraphs to catch part of your article.
  • Conclusion: don't forget this part. Good ending is very crucial. It may be the summary of the points made in the article, the rhetorical question or the paraphrase of the statement made before.
Some useful expressions that you may consider using in your article:
     - Let's..., how about?, what about?
     - I hope you can imagine...
     - What would you do if....
     - The conclusion is...
     - I think you agree that...
     - To sum up...
  Remember:
  • Don't use very formal language.
  • Use questions and question tags
  • Address your reader directly. Try to get her/him involve in what you are writing.
  • Be careful with tenses
  • Try to avoid just using one sentence to introduce or end the article
